NASA announced the SpaceX Crew-13 mission to the International Space Station is now targeted for launch on 2025-10-01 at 11:10 a.m. EDT following a delay.^[3] The mission will carry a crew that includes Italian Air Force test pilot Luca Parmitano, 49, who has completed two previous missions on the station.^[4] Crew-13 will live and work on the International Space Station for about seven months to perform scientific experiments preparing humans for future exploration of the Moon and Mars.^[5] NASA will conduct a series of biomedical and human performance investigations during the mission, announced 2026-04-30.^[1] The agency delivered the Advanced Plant Habitat facility to the station on 2017-04-18.^[2]
