The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration published two separate federal fishery rules on 28 September 2026. One rule covers the snapper-grouper fishery operating in the South Atlantic, Caribbean and Gulf of America. This is Regulatory Amendment 36 for that fishery.^[1] The second rule establishes a rebuilding plan for the overfished Queets River spring/summer Chinook salmon stock, applying to west coast salmon fisheries.^[2] Both entries were logged in the public Federal Register on the same date.
