NASA names Wiseman and Glover emeritus astronauts after Artemis II

Reid Wiseman and Victor Glover, the commander and pilot of the Artemis II mission, have been designated emeritus astronauts, a new NASA program that keeps them training and mentoring for future moon missions.

NASA has designated Artemis II commander Reid Wiseman, 50, and pilot Victor Glover, 49, as emeritus astronauts, the first appointments under a new program that keeps former active astronauts training and mentoring for future lunar missions rather than fully retiring from the agency.[4][5]
