The Popayán Volcanological and Seismological Observatory has downgraded its volcanic alert status. [^2]

Coordinator Cristian Santacoloma stated recent weeks have shown decreases across all tracked volcanic indicators: seismicity, ash emissions, thermal anomalies and volcanic gases. The measurements indicate a trend toward greater system stability. [^1]

The downgrade decision was reached following full integrated monitoring and evaluation of activity at the site.
