The Sun may have swallowed a super-Earth-sized planet early in its history, according to a study published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society. Professor Mutlu Yildiz of Ege University in Turkey proposed the idea as a solution to solar-model discrepancies and examined its implications for planetary systems.[2]
