United States President Donald Trump awarded the Artemis II mission crew the Congressional Space Medal of Honor on 28 August at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston.[^1]

During the Artemis II mission, astronauts surveyed 35 lunar geological sites. These included ancient lava flows and prior Apollo landing locations.[^2]

NASA and SpaceX are targeting no earlier than 8:05 a.m. EDT on Wednesday 7 October for the undocking of the Crew-12 mission from the International Space Station.[^3] Undocking will proceed only once spacecraft status, recovery team readiness and Pacific weather conditions are confirmed acceptable.[^4]
